Southern Oregon Orthopedics

Daniel Wieking, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in lower extremity reconstruction including deformity correction, knee and ankle total joint replacement and foot and ankle surgery. He sees patients at the Grants Pass office.

Dr. Wieking received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine in La Jolla, California. He then completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He has additional fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Melbourne Orthopedics Group, New South Wales, Australia including minimally invasive surgical techniques. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is a peer reviewer for the medical journal Foot and Ankle International.

Dr. Wieking moved to southern Oregon in order to be able to provide high quality orthopedic care in a community setting. He believes that the best outcomes result from discussions with patients about their individual priorities and that includes both operative and non-operative treatments if possible.

When he is not in the office, Dr. Wieking enjoys working on his small farm raising chickens, goats and fruit trees. He has a particular interest in outdoor, open fire cooking and development of his new olive grove. He moved to Grants Pass with his wife, a 5th generation Oregonian, and they now have three children.

Dr. Wieking is committed to getting the members of his community back to the jobs they need to do and the activities they enjoy. To schedule an orthopedic consultation with Dr. Wieking and the team at Southern Oregon Orthopedics, call the nearest office today.
